Born in Aquitaine in the sixties, my family have for many generations produced fruits, vegetables, cereals and milk in the Bordeaux region. All my childhood has been punctuated by the countryside’s seasonal events.
I have fond memories of my Great Aunt Marie (who cooked for the famous Mauriac family in Bordeaux), preparing luxury food and delicious meals from the produce of our farm. Each season brought it’ s own special charm.
My career as an international lawyer allowed me to sit at the tables of many chefs in many different countries. For me, great chefs have the same process of searching out the best quality produce wherever they may be. Back in Bordeaux Region, I realized this quality and authenticity in our gastronomy was threatened. I wanted to become an ambassador of ‘Aquitaine produce’ and of the numerous artisanal talents that still exist here.
I now want to share my passion with you and help you to better understand and appreciate the flavours of the South West.
