About Me, Agnes

Born in Aquitaine in the sixties, for many generations my family has produced fruits, vegetables, cereals and milk in the Bordeaux region. My childhood has been surrounded by the countryside’s seasonal events.
I have fond memories of my Great Aunt Marie (who cooked for the famous Mauriac family in Bordeaux) preparing luxury food and delicious meals from the produce of our farm. Each season brought its own special charm.

My career as an international lawyer allowed me to sit at the tables of many chefs in many different countries. For me, great chefs have the same process of searching out the best quality produce wherever they may be. Back in Bordeaux Region, I realized this quality and authenticity in our Bordeaux gastronomy was becoming less and less appreciated. I wanted to become an ambassador of ‘Aquitaine produce’ and of the numerous artisanal talents that still exist here.

Now I want to share my passion with you in order to help you better understand and appreciate the flavours of the South West.

​Designed in 2017 with one of the greatest French Chefs now locally in Bordeaux, our Bordeaux food and wine tours  will lead you off the beaten track to meet our favourite artisans, passionately producing and cooking the very best from our region, the South West!

About the Team

The guides of my team are all very professional, knowledgeable and passionate with Bordeaux gastronomy.

Most of them were born in Bordeaux region, other ones are Bordelais by adoption and fell in love with the city.

They are all used to guiding Bordeaux food and wine tours in the region and enjoy sharing with the guests the “art de vivre” of the city they love so much.

During your Bordeaux walking food and wine tour they are happy to answer all your questions and meet all your needs. They are happy to share with you their knowledge and recipes during your food and wine tastings in the artisans’ shops.

Our nice food and wine tours allow you to personally interact with the guides and the artisans in small intimate groups.
